Here is yet another example of a butt ugly, yet environmentally friendly car. Fortunately, the Nissan Pivo 2 is only a concept, because I'm not sure I could handle seeing these thing on the road out in the real world.
The Nissan Pivo 2 is an electric powered concept car that will make its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. The Pivo is the 'sequel' to the... you can probably guess... yup, that's right, the Pivo, that was revealed at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show. Just like the movies, not all concept cars deserve a sequel. I'd argue the Pivo would fall into this category.

The Pivo 2 is powered by Lithium-ion batteries, and features a bizarre rotating cabin. The fact that the cabin can rotate a full 360 degrees means that the Pivo 2 does not require a reverse gear.

The saving grace for the Pivo 2 is its "Robotic Agent". According to Nissan, thanks to the Robotic Agent, "you are never alone in the Pivo 2". The Robotic Agent is fluent in both Japanese and English and is designed to help make the journey less stressful for the driver. The Robotic Agent allows the driver to communicate with the Pivo 2 on everything from basic vehicle functions through to the nearest available parking location. Now, if only Nissan could install the Robot Agent into a 350Z I might be interested...
