Study confirms men in utes are “hot”
Oct 18th, 2007 by Motor Dude
Male ute owners have reason to grin this week thanks to the results of an on-line poll conducted by Mahindra distributors. The poll found that 53% of women think that a man driving a ute is sexy, particularly if they are carrying their gear in the back.
In what might be troubling news for the Mahindra Pik-Up distributors, as of those who found men in utes attractive, 66% said that the look of the vehicle and its
cleanliness also mattered to them.
Now it might just be me, but I have to say, I don't find the Pik-Up to be the most aesthetically pleasing vehicle doing the rounds at the moment. I'd hazard a guess, and suggest that the ladies surveyed had either a Holden or Falcon ute in mind when responding to the poll.

I guess Mahindra are banking on the 12% that said "the look of the vehicle didn’t matter as it was the man in the ute they were interested in". Whether the garden variety Aussie "tradie" is willing to be caught dead in a Mahindra ute or not remains to be seen I suppose.Coincidently, the Herald-Sun reported recently that the Mahindra Pik-Up is scheduled for ANCAP crash testing, so it will be interesting to see what the results of those tests are.

Mate, that is good news for some. However, I am a poof who drives a ute. What do the fellas think?
I’m not sure whether the results are transferable, you might need to do some research of your own.
