Subaru have announced that their World Rally Car (WRC) concept based on the new generation Impreza will be unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show this September. The WRC concept will be unveiled in Frankfurt by Subaru World Rally Team’s Petter Solberg.

If you've seen the images of the new generation Impreza that have been doing the rounds then the pictures here of the WRC Impreza wont come as too much of a surprise. The flared 'bug catcher' is there, along with the trademark Subaru blue.

In my opinion the big improvement that the WRC concept makes over the production Impreza is the addition of the rear wing. It adds a little to the shape of the car, and almost gets me forgetting that the new Impreza looks more like the love child of a Camry and BMW 1 Series Hatch than an offering expected of Subaru.
